Nissan To Launch X-Trail Luxury SUV Soon In India

Nissan will launch the new X-Trail in India and it will be coming via the CBU route being an import. The X-Trail has been previously being displayed in India but it remains to be seen whether it will come to India as a hybrid or not. The version shown in India was a hybrid but the hybrid technology will come at a price hence, we can expect Nissan to launch it with a petrol powertrain first to test waters.

The X-Trail looks sharp and is a full sized SUV which would battle the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Kodiaq and the Jeep Compass to some extent. The X-Trail at the start could come with a turbo petrol engine while the India spec details would only be revealed at the time of launch.

The X-Trail was earlier confirmed for India and we might get the fully loaded version with a larger touchscreen and all of the premium features that one expects from an SUV of this class. There are twin 12.3 inch screens plus a heads up display while a panoramic sunroof could also be offered in India. Plus we can expect a 5 seater version along with a 7 seater too.

The new X-Trail would come in limited numbers only being an import but would act as a halo model. There is also a hybrid version available globally but it could be priced higher when introduced here. The new X-Trail would make its debut next month and the launch would follow shortly after. We will bring more details on this SUV soon.
